What qualification will this course lead to?

GCSE in Religious Studies

What topics will I study?

You will study 4 units in total each for six months. You will have to complete all units within 2 years. During the course you will study a wide range of ethical and moral topics such as abortion, euthanasia, war & peace, animal rights and medical ethics. Each of these topics is looked at from various view points, including a religious view.

What understanding and skills will I develop?

Through this course, you will develop skills that focus on discussion and debating as well as gain and understanding and empathy for wider moral issues.

How will I be assessed?

This course is assessed through a final written exam at the end of the two years. There is no coursework or controlled assessment.

What can this course lead to?

From this course, students go on to study A-Level Philosophy, A-Level Religious Studies or A-Level Ethics.
