What qualification will this course lead to?
GCSE in Law (AQA)
What topics will I study?
You will study 4 units in total each for six months. You will have to complete all units within 2 years. During the course you will study a wide range of topics that include the English legal system such as courts and processes, people in the law and sources of English law. Law in action unit provides students the knowledge and understanding of family law, criminal law plus knowing your rights and responsibilities as an individual.
What understanding and skills will I develop?
Through this course, you will develop skills of selection, analysis, critical thinking and decision making and encourages an awareness of the rights and responsibilities of individuals that equips students with skills and knowledge for other fields of study and work.
How will I be assessed?
This course is assessed through two written examinations at the end of the two years. There is no coursework or controlled assessment.
What can this course lead to?
This course provides a broad knowledge base for students wanting to study A-level Law.
